LED Ambient Mood Light Tutorial – Creating Our Own Mood Light

Hey guys I am here with another cool project. Today we will learn creating LED Ambient Mood Light. This project mixes a red, green, and blue LED to get a wide range of colors, and the Arduino cycles through them. The paper cover is used to diffuse the light from the discrete LEDs into a more uniform hue. This project is ideal to add some mood lighting to a dark room using the Arduino and some common, cheap materials. So lets begin creating our LED Ambient Mood Light.

Components Needed

  • Arduino uno
  • 3 X 220 ohm resistor
  • 1 X red led
  • 1 X blue led
  • 1 X green led
  • Breadboard
  • Breadboard cables
  • white paper/ a plastic cap
  • scissors
  • tape

Once you got the above components ready you can start making your own LED Ambient Mood Light.

Creating LED Ambient Mood Light

Follow these steps and at the end you will have your LED Ambient Mood Light.

Step #1

  • Firstly we have to connect all component
  • take common ground and a breadboard wire and connect it to the ground of the arduino and take the other end to breadboard

  • Now connect 3 220 ohm resistor to ground

  • Now connect leds negative terminal to the ground and positive end to pin no 9,10,11 of arduino respectively and the final assembly look like this.

Step #2

  • Now create a box like structure to cover the light.

Step #3

  • Now we will upload the program to Arduino Board.
